The Constitution

I think I would make it illegal to smoke cigarettes. I honestly believe they are the most disgusting things in the world and they are so pointless. It kills the people that smoke and it harms the people around them. People do it so they look cool, they do it because their friends or family do it, and they do it because they see famous people doing it. There are other things people can do to look cool, besides puffing on a cancer stick. A lot of people I know think smoking is horrible. They don't like it and they think it should be illegal, and I think the same thing.

I wish I could believe that my old friend didn't start doing bad things. She tried to convince me that she wasn't drinking, doing drugs, and things with different boys, but I heard the truth from too many people and I no longer believe her. I informed her that if she was really doing that stuff and she continues doing it I wouldn't speak to her because I didn't want to be around someone like that. I didn't want her to try to push those things upon me. I am not trying to ruin my life, I am trying to live my life while I am still young. I want to experience the things I am supposed to experience in my teenage years.

Personal Appearance

A lot of the people I used to consider my “friends” are big on the inside and little on the outside. They acted like someone they weren't in front of other people. They tried to act tough to impress people, but then when they were around me or their parents, they acted like a totally different person. I also know a lot of people that are little on the outside and big on the inside. I think I would consider myself one of those people because I am really shy and “innocent” on the outside but when I'm around friends and family It's like I come of of my comfort zone and I don't act shy anymore. I do think physical appearances are related to personality because the way you appear to someone can make them think a certain way to you. If my internal beauty was directly related to my external appearance, I would look different than the way I do now. I wouldn't look much different but I don't think I would really care about what I looked like every day. I wouldn't really worry about what every one else thought about me and the way I looked.

Saver or Spender

I am definitely a saver. I save every penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and dollar. I have a bank for my pennies, then a bank for my dimes, nickels, and quarters, and then a bank for my bills. When I get enough coins, I usually end up rolling them and then I turn in the rolls to get more bills. II have money from my 12th birthday that I haven't spent yet. I have been a saver my whole life because I grew up watching my brother spend his money away and now he is left with nothing. I don't want to be the person that can't afford to buy anything when I am older. I agree with the article because I think people spend their money on worthless things, things they won't use very often or things they will never use. Debt is increasing because people are spending more money than they have and our country is doing the same. They are spending giant amounts of money on things they cant afford and they continue to do it. I think my generation has problems that we need to grow out of. And problems we need to recognize and get away from.

My tribe.

I not only belong to the Irish tribe, but I belong to the Caucasian tribe. And the volleyball tribe. And the athletic tribe. And the tribe of movie lovers. And the tribe of shopping addicts. And the family- oriented tribe. And the art tribe. And the “boots with the fur” tribe. And the tortilla chips without salsa tribe. And the youngest sibling tribe. And the shoe addicts tribe. And the “never owned a pet” tribe. And the dedicated tribe. And the dog lover tribe. And the morning cup of coffee drinker tribe. And the music lovers tribe. And the dancing tribe. And the injury prone tribe. And the most important tribe.. the McNamara tribe!

Introverts and extroverts

I am an extrovert because I like talking to other people and hearing their opinions. It gives me time to compare and contrast my thoughts to others. I think introverts have it easier because they have time all to themselves to re-coop and regain their energy without the drama of other people. They don't have to worry about other peoples thoughts. I think the world would be better if everyone was an extrovert because everyone would be social and outgoing rather than being anti-social and shy. If everyone was an introvert the world would be awkward. The world would be so dreary. No one would know anything about anyone and it would just be flat out awkward. It would be kind of peaceful at the same time because there would be less drama, but I think it is better to be an extrovert. I prefer my friends to be extroverts because I don't want to hang out with them and sit in silence. I want to hang out with them and have a good times that I can remember. I think better leaders are extroverts because a leader can't be anti-social. They have to be broad and confident and introverts are not confident, therefore a leader can not be an introvert. I think introverts are better writers since they express the feelings that they store up, onto paper. Instead of talking to someone else about their problems they can write it all down on paper so someone can read it. I think it depends about introverts and extroverts being neighbors. I have introverts as neighbors and I have extroverts as neighbors and the introverts have not talked to us in our eleven years of living there and the extroverts drive their four wheelers up and down the streets and throw obnoxious parties. The better teachers are definitely extroverts. I like loud teachers that get you in the mood to learn, not the shy, boring teachers that don't talk. I don't think introverts and extroverts matter that much because no matter how loud or how awkward a person is, you can't hate them for that.

The Road Not Taken

I believe I travel the road less traveled on because I can do my thing instead of being forced to follow everyone else. Even though it may seem more comfortable to travel the road everyone else takes it wouldn't necessarily get me where I wanted to be. I also wouldn't say that my path is nicely paved and easy to get through because there are some road blocks and decisions I have to make to keep moving. I have to make decisions like who will travel with me, where I will go, where I will end up, and so on. I also have to make my decision on where my destination will be. I want to end up graduating college to do what I've always wanted to do. I eventually want to get married and have children and settle into a nice home. By achieving my dream I think I am better off taking my own road. I think the roadblocks in my path will be things like relationships with different people, getting through school successfully, sports, & choosing the life I am going to live the rest of my life. To ensure that I am as successful as can be, I am going to have to get past those roadblocks and move on with life.

Thought for the day

"Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right."

I picked this quote to explain from life law six. It is saying that everyone has goals in life. Working to achieve the goals is a different story because you have to try to actually get what you want. Thinking "I can't" means you can't and you wont. thinking "I can" means you can and you will do whatever it takes to reach your goal and feel good about it.

Quote

"On the mountains of truth you can never climb in vain: either you will reach a point higher up today, or you will be training your powers so that you will be able to climb higher tomorrow." -Friedrich Nietzsche

This quote is very powerful and it is really saying that by working for something over and over again, you will not get worse you will get better. You set a goal, work for it, and you will get better at it slowly but surely. Don't let anyone put you down when trying to reach for achievements because it will get you down and you will most likely lose confidence in what you are doing. Losing confidence will make you stay at the same level instead of getting better and better everyday you work at it.

A Clear Midnight

I can relate to this poem because it has a very peaceful, laid back flow to it and the words seem as if he were in a very happy mood while he wrote it. I describe myself with a laid back personality and that I am happy to be living life. I think about the good things in life and set aside the bad things.

Poets To Come

Poets to come! orators, singers, musicians to come!
Not to-day is to justify me and answer what I am for,
But you, a new brood, native, athletic, continental, greater than
before known,
Arouse! for you must justify me.

I myself but write one or two indicative words for the future,
I but advance a moment only to wheel and hurry back in the darkness.

I am a man who, sauntering along without fully stopping, turns a
casual look upon you and then averts his face,
Leaving it to you to prove and define it,
Expecting the main things from you.

Money

"Is it better to enjoy your money when you earn it or it is better to save your money for some time in the future?

I personally believe it is better to save your money for some time in the future. I am a saver anyway and I don't like when people spend their money on useless things, like food for example. A comparison in my life would be like my sister and I. Two totally opposite people and we have a totally different intake on money because while I'm saving for a car, she is spending all of hers. Most of the time people work hard for their money and then they go and blow it away. When you are mature enough to have a job and make your own money, I would think that if you worked hard for the money then you wouldn't spend and you would save for something useful. I want to be successful in life and even though people say money isn't everything, I still believe it is since you need money for almost everything and with out it, where would you be? What could you afford? Many people have a total different view on saving and spending but hey, who wants to be a homeless person on the side of the road begging for money? Not me!

Sophomore year.

Well... sophomore is pretty good so far. I definitely like it more than freshman year although I miss some of my teachers. The good thing about this year is that i have a lot of my friends in all of my classes, which makes it ten times better(:
